Fire Ceremony

I went to the final meeting of the year tonight for the LA Chapter of SIGGRAPH. There was a lot of energetic arguing for more political participation in both the local chapter and the national parent organization for computer animators and artists, particularly about the need for having larger percentages of members vote for officers and deliberate about policy changes.

As you can see from my photo below, the theme of the evening was fire, both animated and live, and the film Ghost Rider, which came out on DVD today, was featured.
