Fighting Fish

The player-vs-player dynamic of many forms of computer-mediated entertainment often has expression in how the natural world is represented as well. On YouTube, this has many permutations: "Siamese Fighting Fish and a Cricket," "Marines Vs a Camel Spider," and "giant centipede vs tarantula." My twelve-year-old describes this dramatic structure for many YouTube videos as "mandible madness."
