Mixed Messages

In other news, speaking of those who are actually good at being deceptive, the Dove Onslaught viral video is stimulating more discussion in the blogosphere, as the earlier projects from the award-winning "Campaign for Real Beauty" did. Tobacco companies make anti-tobacco ads for reasons having to do with legal liability and legislation against them by the government. In contrast, Dove seems to have figured out that criticizing their own industry might actually boost sales. Feministing lets them have it here.
