What Happens When the Strike Videos Are Funnier Than What's on TV?

In light of what Henry Jenkins has said about "participatory culture" and the importance of fandom, it is also interesting to note that today an "Impromptu Fan Day" will be held, where fans of shows like Desperate Housewives and Law & Order can gather. Because some of these "impromptu" events connected with the strikes have had organizational problems that include parking and traffic snafus and media outreach missteps, it will be interesting to see if this event can really use what Howard Rheingold has called "smart mobs" intelligently.
