Spam Pain Campaign
David Folkenflik has been reporting on an interesting story, "Clinton Campaign Keeps E-Mailing Reporters," which deals with some tricky e-mail etiquette questions that can be challenging for political organizations that capitalize on distributed networks to disseminate messages efficiently. Apparently normally sensitive "talking points" designed for focus-group-tested spontaneity were sent to reporters by the Clinton camp as many as five times. Although The Los Angeles Times was characterizing it as a campaign gaffe that would allow viewers in the know to feel like spoilers, others are less sure that it wasn't a deliberate leak.
