Apples and Oranges

To illustrate a point about how the Chinese world view may be shaped by search engines from proprietary software companies that are cooperating with the government by filtering results, the classic example is Figure A and Figure B, which show competing visions for the term Tiananmen Square. This rhetorical device was used most recently in a blog at the New York Times. It's interesting to note that even the screened results bring up some potentially subversive content, however.
