Milestone

Today the New York Times used the word "blogspat" on the opening page of its online edition to describe an Opinionator piece about the online battles between Jeralynn Merritt of TalkLeft and Ann Althouse. I have a piece in the current Camerawork called "Blogspats as Visual Arguments: Sex, Race, and Photoshop," which features Althouse, but it is surprising to see the term so definitively a part of the contemporary lexicon.
