A User-Generated City
LatinoLA boasts of publishing a decade of user-generated content on the web aimed at the large population of Latinos in Los Angeles who view the "stories, announcement, essays, commentaries, whatever..." that other residents submit to the site. Some of the prose is written in a mix of web diction and Spanglish, such as "¿LOOKING FOR MÁS HOT COOL LATINOLA STUFF?" But there are also many longer passages of essayistic prose, especially from the genre of individual or family success stories, like this one.
