That Last Step is a Doozies
Virtualpolitik pal Tom Gammill is using the Internet to mock one of the mainstays of twentieth-century print culture: the newspaper cartoonist who produces bafflingly unfunny and repetitive comic strips.
The Doozies is regularly updated for its Internet subscribership, but the real reason to follow this perfectly terrible newspaper comic is for the hilarious portrait of the strip's pathetic and obtuse creator at "Learn to Draw with Tom Gammill."
Gammill also appears in his own YouTube channel, where he even has some fun at the expense of those who promote his work at GoComics.com, where the cretinous interface seems to assume a semi-literate readership in both analog and digital media.
