When Opportunity.gov Knocks
Opportunity.gov is one of the newest government websites created by the Obama administration at a .gov domain. Like "Change.gov" or "Recovery.gov," Opportunity.gov chooses an optimistic abstract noun as its title rather than a specific government agency or institution of political authority. This site for "New Educational Opportunities for Unemployed Workers" does emphasize its connection to the Department of Labor and the Department of Education through links in the upper right corner, but it also provides links to retraining information from several .org sites, such as servicelocator.org and www.careeronestop.org.
